Huawei has launched its Xinghe AI CloudCampus Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform in South Africa, aiming to make artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled network management more accessible for government agencies and enterprises. The platform is designed to reduce barriers to AI adoption while supporting digital transformation across the country.
Huawei unveiled the Xinghe AI CloudCampus SaaS Service Platform at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 in Johannesburg.
The company said the platform provides a cloud-managed network infrastructure built around four core capabilities: flexibility, agility, intelligence and scalability. It is intended to provide government agencies and enterprises with a centralised, secure and reliable platform for managing network operations.
The launch supports South Africa’s role as a regional digital hub while helping organisations accelerate their digital transformation.
The platform is offered through a SaaS subscription model, allowing customers to access the service without upfront capital expenditure (CAPEX). Huawei said the pay-as-you-grow approach is designed to reduce the cost of adopting AI-enabled network management.
It is supported by a local service team to help ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance. Automated updates are also included to provide customers with access to the latest platform capabilities.
Huawei said the platform uses software-defined branch (SD-Branch) technology to simplify network deployment across multiple locations.
The platform supports bulk branch network configuration and plug-and-play device deployment, enabling organisations to deploy networks for new branches, retail stores or temporary sites more quickly. According to Huawei, this can improve business responsiveness by more than 80 per cent.
The platform includes an AI-assisted operations and maintenance (O&M) copilot designed to automate network management tasks.
The embedded AI can automatically identify and resolve 80 per cent of common network issues, reducing the need for routine manual inspections. The company said this capability can reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) by 70 per cent and lower O&M costs by 50 per cent.
Huawei said the platform integrates Wi-Fi, local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and security capabilities into a single cloud-managed platform that can scale as organisations grow.
The platform also supports industry-specific applications, including foot traffic analytics and smart marketing networks for retailers, as well as network infrastructure designed to support online learning for educational institutions.

Now, we have deeply integrated AI into the cloud management service platform, enabling SMEs to easily access these capabilities as a cloud service.
