Al Ahly crowned champions of AfricaEgypt's Al Ahly have beaten South Africa's Orlando Pirates to retain their CAF Champions League crown.
The now eight-time winners won 2-0 in the second leg of the final in Cairo on Sunday, winning the tie 3-1 on aggregate following a 1-1 draw in Soweto's Orlando Stadium.
Fittingly it was the legendary Mohamed Aboutrika who opened the scoring in the 54th minute, stabbing home from just outside the six-yard box.
Ahmed Abdul Zaher doubled the lead 10 minutes from time and it meant a red card for Ahly defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil soon after couldn't help Pirates mount an unlikely comeback.
